Sister Magdalena
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Tell us a little about you:
I am German. After 18 years of marriage with rearing two children, 20 years working as an educator in a boarding school I entered 1993 in the then still existing monastery of the Redemptoristines in Puettlingen, Germany. At that time, my children were already independent. Since 2010 I am a member of the Dublin community.
What attracted you to the Redemptoristines?:
As a former member of the Lutheran church, I converted to Catholicism at the age of twenty, I felt my vocation to become a Redemptoristine because of the Christocentric focus of the spirituality of Bl. M. Celeste Crostarosa and of the importance she attached to Holy Scripture.
What is your favourite Scripture passage?:
My favourite Gospel passage is Jn 3: 16,17. It clearly expresses God’s love for us and his wish to give us life to the fullest. As a Redemptoristine who shall became a Living Memory of Christ I try to share this great gift with all people whom I met.
